After completing his undergraduate studies from Long Island University in New York, Dr. Ryvkin earned his doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Ryvkin is a member of the American Optometric Association.

Not only does Dr. Ryvkin provide routine eye exams and contact lens fittings, he also has a special interest in allergen-related eye conditions and eye infections. He even has extensive training in cataracts and retina conditions, making him a go-to practitioner for patients who have special eye care needs.

Because Dr. Ryvkin is fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian, he’s able to care for patients of diverse cultural backgrounds. Dr. Ryvkin is known for his uncompromising dedication to the well-being of each of his patients. Dr. Zide treats various eye disorders and visual problems like dry eye, flashers and floaters, stye, and eye infections. He also offers routine eye exams, general eye follow-ups, eye emergency visits, and optometry consultations.

Dr. Zide graduated from Marshall B. Ketchum University with a doctoral degree in optometry. His passion for optometry is evident in the care and precision he offers patients.

Dr. Deanna Nus is an optometrist practicing at Ocean Eyes Optical by Market Square Optical in Brooklyn, New York City. Have graduated with her Doctor of Optometry from New York State University, Dr. Nus specializes in providing eye care services to patients. As an optometrist, Dr. Nus performs eye exams, tests vision, corrects vision by prescribing eyeglasses or contacts, detects certain eye disorders, and manages and treats vision problems. Optometrists often work closely with ophthalmologists who may need to further treat patients with surgical procedures.

On one of his consulting room walls hangs a personalized autographed picture of Nelson Mandela, an icon of his time and a personal hero of Dr. Phillips. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr Phillips graduated Witwatersrand Technikon School of Optometry. In 1975 after a short program at the London Refraction Hospital in England, he spent the following 15 years in his own private practice in and around Johannesburg. He then moved with his family to Boston where he acquired a Doctor of Optometry Degree at the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Phillips has since worked in Cambridge as an Independent Eye Doctor for two different optical companies. He has now opened Brattle Square Optical – his own long anticipated specialty individual private practice. He is delighted to be back in Harvard Square. Dr. Phillips is a Contact Lens Specialist and fits not only disposable lenses, but Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenses as well. With the huge over 40 population entering near vision problems or presbyopia, Dr. Phillips fits specialty multifocal lenses in a variety of materials whereby eliminating the frustration of putting on and taking off reading glasses. His expertise has resulted in numerous referrals from Opthalmologists as well as his current patients. His warm personality and sincere concern for each and every one of his patients is what he prides himself with.

Dr. Adebanke Owolewa, or better know as Ade by her patients and friends is a unique breed; both a licensed Optician and a Doctorate in Optometry. Ade has a 360 degree understanding of the vision and optical needs of her patients. A winner of the Dr. Marvin R. Poson Leadership & Service Award and Scholarship, as well as the NECO Innovation Competition People's Choice Award is merely testament to the unique perspective and skills that Dr. Ade brings to eyecare.
